The Bosporus Straits is where the Black Sea empties into the Mediterranean. They are in Istanbul Turkey and factored heavily in the Byzantines conquering Constantinople. There was a chain across the straits the Byzantine ships could not cross. Mehmet II had his ships bivouaced across the peninsula and set to sea behind the chain. Edit bivouaced is the wrong word. Brains not functioning at a high level yet.
Interestingly, even way before the Golden Horde, Crimea was a Greek colony and many of its cities are Greek in origin.
History is fascinating. Esp when you start understanding the true history and can see the hands of the Cabal. In the new free world I think I will change my career to Historian.
Bubble I dream of the day when the Vatican Archives are opened to all historians. I have a strong feeling that much of the Library of Alexandria is hidden there. If these two sources of information were exposed to sunlight much of human history would change.
Im a civil engineer. But I have been fascinated by History since I got my first book about George Washington for Christmas when I was about 6. So during my 5 years of undergrad I spent an inordinate amount of time for an engineering student in History classes. Enough so that a couple classes after finishing my Masters got me a second major in History. Ive thought about retiring and teaching HS History. Maybe one day.
Today I take every free class that Hillsdale College offers in math and history. My favorite was "Geometry and Logic: From Euclid to Modern Geometry". If you want to cultivate a logical mind take Geometry courses and learn how to do proofs.
Today I learnt that Crimea used to be the capital of the Golden Horde and also is the same region known as Bosporus in some historical period.
