I think… YES!
Why? Because we’re winning… BIGLY!
It seems like at every turn we’re winning. Many have suffered in this war, many tragic episodes. Unfortunately, real war takes much.
The reason I’m posting this is because many of us know that tomorrow isn’t Jesus’ birthday. It feels a bit hollow knowing that.
BUT, why not blaze a path towards true understanding? Just try again.
To be honest, I don’t worry much about when it happened, as much as the fact that it DID happen. I believe that God became man and His sacrifice on the Cross and His blood are what matter most. What saves us.
Do I believe that the Son of God was born on 12/25? Nah, don’t. But if we can humble ourselves and try to love them, maybe we can heal faster. I don’t know, but I hope.
We’re winning. Let’s Celebrate the Love of Christ.
Nothing in the corpus of Human Knowledge has shown it wasn't celebrated on that date as a purely Christian Holy Day from essentially the first few years after Pentecost and the founding of the universal Brotherhood of Jesus Christ. The only thing that really works logically against the Nativity narative is the exact spacing between the 4 key dates necessary to make the Holy Days synchronize with the Gospel.
Date 1- Gabe chills with Zacharias alone in the Temple
Date 2- Gabe and Mary this time and Mary runs to meet Elizabeth who is exactly 6 months pregnant
Date 3- Elizabeth gives birth to John the Baptist
Date 4- Mary gives birth to Jesus
Sept 24th -> May 24th -> June 24th -> Dec 24th
