Sounds odd, i know. The first total knee replacement went perfectly. The second one got infected. That led to the third surgery (requiring what is called an in incision and drainage) to get the infection gone. The infection had turned the cement to powder, so the fourth surgery was needed to replace the prosthesis. I'm now walking without pain for the first time since 2018. The infection added more than two years to the overall process.
