Why should we import engineers when we have lots of american's here who can be trained. My 8 year old wants to be an engineer. I bust my ass homeschooling him. Maybe Elon should make his elite school he helped create free for the rest of us and offer it online. Fix the problem at the source, education and access. The internet is what free's us all from the chains of the system. He has the ability to do this, create an online homeschool, train the next generation of americans. Forget importing talent when we can make our own.
