You can get on the mall without tickets. The tickets are for the seats on the west side of the Capitol. Parade can be seen on most of the route. Tickets needed for bleachers only. Is your airnib close to subway. Some of the suburban locations have big parking lots. If you go into town to park, try union Station. Subway available. Parking can get really pricy in business districts. If you are young enough to deal with the walking go for it. Should be memorable and your kids will have an historic memory.
