CTA Injunction Reinstated!
The Corporate Transparency Act saga took a welcome turn yesterday after a Fifth Circuit Court panel reinstated the nationwide injunction against the statute. As a result of the order, Main Street businesses are not required to comply with the Corporate Tran...
Another thing: This whole CTA thing ONCE AGAIN showed that 99% of attorneys are fucking USELESS when it comes to defending the rights of the People.
Almost all of them rolled over like dogs and wimpered, "But muh gubmint sez ya gotta." Fucking wimps.
Great news! Man, I’ve been putting off as long as I can. Then the Fifth Circuit Court decided to throw a wrench in the ruling and I was about to file our LLC report this coming Monday. And now I read this!!!!
What a relief! Thanks for posting. You made my day. Think I’ll crack open a cold beer!!
If you dig into the CTA, you will find that the "persons" who are "required to file" are the same as in Title 26.
They did not create their own requirment, but used the Internal Revenue Code, section 7701(a) for their definitions.
This is very strange.
And 26 USC says that the "citizens" and "residents" required to file are District of Columbia citizens and residents.
Just shows that they cannot apply such a law to the People of the 50 States, so they disguise their real authority (only applying it to the federal territories).
it's been on the fincen.gov website since early this month that it's not required after the Texas ruling. IMHO, save the page and throw it in your file.
Personally, I hadn't even followed the story recently, because I had already decided they can fuck right off, and we'll see what happens.
No, it’s a new ruling. On Dec 3 it was ruled we DIDNT have to file, then On Dec 23, the Fifth Court ruled we HAD to file. And now this new ruling today. You need to go back and catch up. This is a new ruling.
Thanks for clarification.. it has been flip flopping - went from needing to file by 12/31, to not needing to file, to need to file by 1/13/25, and back to no need to file, at the moment
yup. been a wild 4 weeks for sure.
Very good news.
This is a shockingly horrible "law" that must be abolished.
