No beekeeper is decapping honeycomb for extraction using wood. That's done with a metal hot knife. Even your raw/unfiltered honey is extracted using plenty of metal equipment and and initially contained in stainless steel vessels. If your spoon was going to do anything to the contents of the honey, it has long since already happened at the apiary.
