December 3, 2024: A federal judge in Texas issued a nationwide preliminary injunction, temporarily halting the enforcement of the CTA, citing potential constitutional concerns. THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

December 23, 2024: The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals lifted the injunction, reinstating the CTA's reporting requirements. Following this decision, FinCEN extended the compliance deadline to January 13, 2025, for existing companies.
