The JFK assassination was NOT a coup. It was removal of what could have been an obstacle to (((them))).
The "coup" occurred in 1871, with beginnings during the War of 1812.
FDR finalized it.
Of course it was a coup. Stop with the denial of a word because you want some other word in its place. More to the question, why would the dominant power structure (the Democrats) go out of their way to finagle the 1960 election by turning the Illinois vote so as to defeat Nixon, and install Kennedy---only to assassinate him partway through his term? Did JFK turn out to be a patriot instead of a stooge? Was the withdrawal of backing from the Bay of Pigs operation a clue that he was not going to be a tool of the intelligence / foreign policy establishment?
I like the idea that he faked his assassination in order to ensure the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Seems about as plausible as any of the other myriad scenarios, and it helps to maintain an optimistic attitude.

I think he decided to dismantle the C_A after the Bay of Pigs debacle. And they decided to remove him so that wouldn't happen.
