I'd rather have US companies that were created by US citizens and committed to staying in the USA. If that means other countries temporarily surpass us in technology and some jobs move there, then so be it.
Restoring our culture and our pride, and becoming fully self sufficient if necessary, is the foundation we need to become great again. You can't make a quick fix for this. Maybe we have to relearn to walk again while others are running marathons. That's OK.
We can talk about immigration a decade from now after we've healed, put down solid roots, and restarted our growth. Then, companies will want to stay in America not because we make it easy for foreign talent, but because they want access to our domestic talent.
It's not an easy road. But it's the right one for the people of America. Sadly, Elon doesn't seem to care about that.
