Yep i've seen the code of some new hires from India (not for boeing), and I believe a lot of foreigners fake their credentials or education. I once advised one of them:
change the value to match the sever you want to connect to here: string server = "server1.blah.com"
After 1-2 hours they came back and were saying it didn't work, so i was like show me what you have. The new hire had changed the code to be: string server2.blah.com = "server1.blah.com"
when what they should have done was: string server = "server2.blah.com"
i was just.. stunned that someone, who was supposedly a coder, did something like that, and it took that long to realize there was a problem (but more stunned they changed the variable name instead of the variable value)
I left my IT job at a large bank about 10 years ago when a new Indian manager was hired to be my boss. He supposedly had a Masters in IT but I had to explain to him what a MAC address was.
Best decision I ever made was to leave IT work behind.
I still speak to some of my good coworkers from that job and they all say I made the right decision to leave but they can't for various reasons. Now I teach music to children privately and my work life is the most rewarding it has ever been.
I know many other very talented IT workers who have left the field for similar reasons. Only those with no other options stay.
Agreed. The data engineering department at my work is half full of Indians as well. 75% of them don't know shit about data and data structures. They failed on a huge project last year and managed the EVP of data engineering out who was white and are looking solely at Indian replacements. They set him up to fail by forcing him to hire an offshore team complimented by H1Bs here.

I've had a catastrophe head injury when I was younger. I'm gonna be honest, it took me about 2 minutes to understand/get it. Kek. But I did. Kek
Or because they've been hiring based on DEI rather than merit
