It is probable that many of these major corporations will be based in the larger cities in places where, historically, are hubs for business and tech, like New York and Silicon Valley in California.
It’s definitely not confined to those places, but they are the majority, as cities effectively bribe corporations to set up headquarters in them. It’s not specifically democrats doing it either, but those corporations seeking profit über alles, and not all of that is unjustified nor unnecessary. They open up to save costs to try and outpace inflation and competitors, part of which is required by law, then foreigners work their way in and take over points of control through that, then leverage their way elsewhere. Be assured, they do favor themselves over others, certainly not exclusively nor universally, but the scales are tilted.
Hopefully, what you said, happens. These problems exist in codified places, however.
