What he was accused of ultimately boiled down to womanizing and apparently having sex with someone who provided a fake ID, which goes beyond "she said she was 18" in that if you can't trust IDs from a liability perspective then I'm not sure how much more you need to go through.

Additionally, the accusations hold less water due to the people making them.

He's no saint, and he definitely made mistakes. He's a young guy, and was even younger then. Trump's no saint either, but we look past his stupidity in youth to the man he became today.

The womanizing and partying I don't give two fucks about, because those are personal faults that have nothing to do with his professional life or his voting record.

The sex with a minor accusation is concerning, but if provided an ID (whether directly or by proxy guaranteeing their age etc.) he already had the presence of mind to make steps towards verification that they're an adult so he's clearly not a predator and at the end of the day I don't think that a fake ID makes him liable for that, because I'm not sure what more someone should need to do.

Clearly the law agrees, because he's not imprisoned for that.
