I just posted a link to Collin Rugg's Twitter stating that Shawn Ryan is going into hiding following the release of his latest episode. Another user just minutes before reposted the episode itself and also shared this info in the title, saying: "Shawn Ryan and his family have gone into hiding." I'm posting both links below, in the order I mentioned them.
I just want to play contrarian a bit here and suggest that we pay close attention to the situation, which is still very actively developing lest we form premature opinions only to end up with egg on our face.
Of course I only mean this for those with an audience whom they inform, or care to be accurate for whatever reason. If you just want to take potshots, call Shawn a glowtard or otherwise poke holes in it, be my guest.
My personal approach is that I don't like sounding stupid and I don't like to be wrong, so as much as I can with these things I try to hold personal biases aside and objectively work through what merits or lapses in logic the story and the information seems to have.
I don't particularly have any reason to trust Shawn Ryan but I don't know of any major reason to be dubious about him either. (Maybe someone can inform me better on this) He generally comes across like a serious, legit operator, and while I have only listened to the audio of the episode so far, I wasn't detecting anything outright.
What DOES come across is the palpable anxiety and nerves both he and his guest are going through during large portions of this episode. It didn't strike me as a put on, but again I haven't watched yet. There's something about the visual element that gives thousands of subliminal signals, so I will go back over to see if there are any here.
It really seems like they've been moving fast to release this because they earnestly felt it could have vital importance, but they also have gotten some real apprehensions about the personal risks as the process has gone on. It's clear enough that they've been losing sleep trying to make sure they stay within the legal boundaries during the process.
All of that feels pretty consistent with the emotions a whistleblower goes through. They are clearly unsure at points what they can and can't reveal, but it's clear this is making its way through other channels and people in the know. I would expect others are going to give more veracity to the story if there is any. Finally I would caution against assuming this is a conjob just because the FBI verified the email. That does not necessarily mean they are controlling this release or are happy with it.
I'll just wrap by saying that I don't see why a well known person would go as far as to try and get off the grid entirely. I don't see the point in doing all this for a publicity stunt or some popularity thing.
Just my thoughts. Something weird is afoot here and I think it's probably going to be a while before the shovels hit anything solid. Guess it's "buckle up, buttercup" to start 2025.
Edit: The longer I think on it the more I am starting to feel that maybe this is just some more bullshit. Going to re-evaluate everything.
I wasn't trying to go to bat for any of these guys and I apologize if it comes across that way. I just don't like to form opinions too fast, but I can scarcely keep up with how fast news travels and stories turn over these days.
The more I think on the actual claims in the email, and the fact that he points toward China... yeah, the less I'm starting to buy it, even IF he legitimately reached out to this dude and whatever else.
For what it's worth I do think this is going to lead somewhere big - even if it's all a big hoax and revealed to be so.
IS THIS REALLY BS, OR WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
