1st thought was someone else used his phone but picked the wrong one (after they offed him). Not too sure though he might have done it himself, but his e-mail said ‘not under duress’ - or ‘foreign influence’ or words to that effect.
I tend to try and game through many sides when this kind of stuff happens though.
I didn’t think the signal changing is the flag for ‘don’t trust’ as the post title states. As soon as news controls the narrative - that’s when I don’t trust.
My gut says the guy was killed 1st and transported, but I am not ruling out other options.

He was a whistleblower that was ‘offed’ and it was done in a way to send a message.
He was a whistleblower that ran out of options and it is kind of ‘as we are being told’.
He is part of the blue-beam psyop and this is part of the disclosure. WH or BH is TBD regarding disclosure / big picture.
