Maybe it WAS genius? Two separate surveillance systems. All the telemetry, including footage from all onboard cameras of that truck, is in Musk's hands. Maybe it gets to the hands of WHs? Can an occupant in the truck make A/V recordings to upload to Starlink? (just asking. I don't know much about the tech in these things). Maybe it was rented precisely FOR its own surveillance systems as a record of truth?

Totally plausible. It's just such a strange thing with so many developments, I'm speculating both sides.
