Woman’s 90 year old Parents’ Fire Insurance got Cancelled Coincidentally before the Fires
👉In 2014, CA received $2.4 Billion Dollars to build reserve water supplies… to this day, they haven’t been built. Shocking 😑
👉The LA Fire Dept chief puts DEI, LGTBQ+ Celebrations over safety & training
👉And to top it off Mayor Bass is currently in Africa
"Insurers" is one of the biggest SCAMS often overlooked.. Disgusting and Shameful!
$750.00 check from the government should cover it...
An Insurance company is not obligated to serve you. YOUR GOVERNMENT IS!
California voted the funds for a new reservoir in 2014. Your gov’t has YET to build it! THIS IS A DERELICTION OF DUTY! Several CA Fire Dept. including LA, donated equipment to Ukraine in 2022 & the mayor Los Angeles cut 17 million from the fire budget! Also, your Fire Departments demanded that Fire fighters get the clot shot or be fired.
Since your State government did nothing to curtail the fire risk, Insurance companies had no choice but to increase premiums. Californians we’re not happy, so your the marxist-democrats created a bad policy. They put a cap on what an insurance company could charge. So at the annual anniversary of a policyholders contract with the insurance company, the company chose not to renew the policies.
California’s Governor, legislators and local elected officials are all responsible.
Despite this, Insurance companies are ANYTHING but ethical. My statement isn't based on this incident alone, it's from personal experiences of myself and people I know directly. If your advocating for insurance companies operating ethically I'm not buying it, just look around the internet and find all sorts of heath and property insurance denial stories. If you have a heart and compassion for others, I think you'd have a different prospective.
I am not saying that all insurance companies are ethical, just as you can’t say all insurance companies aren’t. California has had many fires over the years and probably many claims. The policy is a contract that renews annually, either party can decide to not renew the contract at the anniversary. Depending on the risk versus the cost either party can choose not to renew the term of the contract. People don’t understand how insurance works, everyone pays small premiums for protection but not all people have fires & file claims. Take the amount you pay for COVERAGE for 1 year, that total amount won’t cover the rebuilding of your house to be rebuilt. Their bet on not all the people that have a fire so that during the coverage period they can replace homes that are destroyed. Cover those that do and take what profit they make to pay employees & provide usual employee benefits, then they take their profit and invest in other companies kinda like savings for a bad year and a lot of losses. You can’t have so many losses that their business can’t survive. You can’t have astronomical risk caused gross government dereliction of duty, bad government policy of capping premiums and decades of large wild fires. If you don’t like insurance companies you do not have to buy their product. You can self fund your own risk. People illegally drive without insurance all the time.
I understand how insurance works. By your fervent rebuttal of my comments and excuses for companies that more times than not look for loopholes, clauses, or ambiguous language to deny people in their moment of need I have to assume you're in the industry and have been triggered into protection mode by my opinion. I don't know very many people who've actually had to use their insurance for a large claim that has had a positive experience, these aren't isolated instances.
I used to work in health insurance, retired. Gov’t screwed HI up as well.
It’s a contract. You are purchasing a businesses product. You don’t have to buy it!
(unless you have a mortgage, banks force you to buy it so that they get their money back if the house is destroyed, but it is usually calculated in the mortgage payment).
You can self fund your own fire protection and sue the City for their faulty fire hydrant. Their liable.
Look your talking anecdotal experiences.
Right, however, its a product you are forced to purchase under penalty of law or mortgage requirement and if used in some cases the rate can escalate to the point one can no longer afford it and is forced to change provider. And before you start with shopping around keep in mind an insurance score much like a social credit score will negatively effect any companies rate moving forward. In the case of a lawsuit, both you and I know there's no guarantee you'd win the lawsuit against the city. Trying to navigate a post catastrophic event like loosing everything to fire is difficult enough, couple that with litigation and it could take years before you're made whole. It's silly to think it's just that easy.
I get it, you read something disparaging against the industry you're in and took it as an attack on you personally but remember these aren't just account numbers on paper, they are people who still have to live and take care of their responsibilities while enduring a lengthy legal process.
Here this will bust your Apple Watch. /joke

People nowadays don’t live within their means. Don’t save for rainy days. Take vacations on credit, buy fancy cars on credit, can’t say no to the little woman and she charges shoes & jewelry she doesn’t need. Big screen TVs, cell phones with max data. C’mon man. I was in health insurance. Not property & casualty, but as an adult I have purchased several. Auto insurance is the kicker. People drive around out there with no insurance even though they are required by law to carry it. But they take the risk.
I read on X people wanting to Luigi people in the insurance industry because their homeowners contracts were not renewed. It’s a perfect storm. Our governments, fed, state & local have not been the good stewards of our money. We are, what 32 Trillion in debt as a country. Welcome to 1929.
Didn't Biden just give a bunch of $$ to Africa - how else can it be laundered if they don't show up to pick up the $$$. It's so obvious but would we have known she was in Africa if there wasn't a fire, we will never know.
You mean like all the trips to Ukraine...
Exactly!
Space lasers for the win ... again.
Get those roofs painted blue asap.
Tick-tock folks.
Now, now, Frens....Let's not jump to logical conclusions pointing an egregious finger at lefty policies. We have to take into account every thing which might have contributed. Basically, it's all Trump's fault because he never talked about the hazards of living in California and by not imploring Biden to send pre-fire aid to that state. If Trump had a heart he would be going out there to do a rally and show solidarity with those poor devastated individuals. Yet he only stays in his mansion in Florida and doesn't care about the burning homes. Sarcasm over, I do have a very hard heart for the folks who choose to live in a fire area and yet they pack dry brush around their homes and don't even take a few hundred bucks to purchase a portable water pump to pump water out of their backyard pools. grrrrrrr.
