Both countries use propaganda on their own people as well as other countries it would seek to influence. That is a reality that neither country would deny. It is known. But as you know, truth can be picked out of the lies. Truth can be picked out of what isnt said. If it was all as simple as opposite day it wouldnt really even be a lie any more. It would be reliable.
