Verse 3 about selling yourself for nought (nothing) means anything wordly you do for pleasure or gain that is not focused on God gets you nothing eternally. But verse 3 continues - we will be redeemed without money. We all have sinned & fallen short of the glory of God. Isaiah 59:14-21 tells us thst God looked to see who would intercede on our behalf (to protect us from his wrath because of our sin) and finding no man, God's own right arm (Jesus) worked our salvation for God by taking our sins upon himself (Jesus) and paying what we owed God - our very life. We were redeemed without money. To show that was an acceptable redemption, Jesus was resurrected to eternal life & all who believe & are baptized into God the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, will also be raised to eternal life.
