ALERT: Effective January 22, 2025, USCIS waives any and all requirements that applicants for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident present documentation on their Form I-693, Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, that they received the COVID-19 vaccination. USCIS will not issue any Request for Evidence (RFE) or Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) related to proving a COVID-19 vaccination. USCIS will not deny any adjustment of status application based on the applicant’s failure to present documentation that they received the COVID-19 vaccination.
I remember someone having a hard time getting in, because they demanded the wife get the clot shot. Was this him? I read many post from him at the time and it just broke my heart what they were going through. I hope that this move sets everything right for them.
That was me too! We ended up going through the vaccine waiver route, but this still makes things easier for us as we are waiting on my wife’s green card :)
I've seen a lot of people have trouble with that. I'm in a group with other immigrants and a lot of them were down to the last hour right before this announcement. it's been a huge relief for a lot of families.
