And look at the benefits! Including that ever more elusive retirement benefit.
Among the best is job security, no questions asked, little accountability, long lunches, no profit / loss to determine if they are worth their pay, etc.
It is a gravy train. Not that many of them are not hard-working and dedicated, but I posit most are not.
That is a glorious article. Now if you can’t fire them due to all the coming court lawsuits then transfer their ass to the border (employment location change) and stick em in temporary housing in an old barracks tent. They won’t last long.
Went to a funeral in Alexandria VA last week. I lived there until I was 18 then went off to college. Only came back occasionally bc my parents still lived there until they moved into a retirement community out near Dulles in the 90’s.
I couldn’t believe how built up the city of Alex is now. High rises everywhere. People stacked on top of one another. Parking was a bitch.
When I was a kid (I’m 72 now) in N VA the city was not very nice. I occasionally took a local bus to attend a private school in the city. Sometimes my dad drove us kids there in the am and my mom picked us up in the pm. It wasn’t really safe to walk alone to the school to and from the stop. But hey we Boomers had more freedom as kids than kids today.
Someone decided to upgrade the dock areas. Put in an art center there . Little by little people moved in and pushed out from there remodeling the city. When I was in high school downtown Alexandria suddenly became more popular to go to than Georgetown.
But we still didn’t have many high rise buildings. It’s only since the Federal Government continued to expand that it changed and expanded. All those programs and federal employees (not to mention all the support services to the federal government) continued to grow.
It will be interesting to see what will happen to that area after Trump farms out the Federal Government divisions across the country. I can’t wait for that to happen. Everything is so consolidated there. And it’s time to spread the jobs across the country
I know what you mean, they are building these 4-6 story buildings all over California with a new law to fast track more. It's been happening for years. Yet California has the most Homeless in the Country.
How does ANY organization effectively manage 2.2 MILLION employees?!?
It is IMPOSSIBLE.
There is duplication of effort. There are left hands not knowing what the right hands are doing.
And not caring. It is a gravy train pay check. Check your box, get your check. Many intend no ill will, but the extent of government is so over-bloated that it is obscene.
The purge has begun. If they had worried more about the American people instead of their own “career”, they would not have to worry so much.
NCSWIC…….
We the people are paying +/- $220,000,000,000 (two hundred twenty billion dollars) annually for these salaries because the avg. salary is $100,000.

After searching for the average federal salary, I went with $100,000. It's actually $106,462.
Have you ever herd a piglet sqweel when it gets pulled from its mother's tit. Yeah, theirs going to be a lot of sqweeling.

"And it’s time to spread the jobs across the country."
I have thought the same for decades. Too much group-think in DC and the suburbs which house the workers. TOO out of touch with real America!
Hey they can always learn coding.
KEK! If coal miners can be told to learn to code (ala HRC) surely bureaucrats can.
2.2 million. Unbelievable. The smart ones are already looking for private sector jobs. The dumb ones will wait it out.
