👉🏻 Link to yesterday’s post.

Holy Father, despite the traffic,we managed to get relatively soon to our country house where the temperatures really were great for this time of the year. The house was warm enough so we did not need to light a fire and just sat on the armchair enjoying the Christmas tree we’ll dismantle during the week end and calmly planning the way we will spend these days in our lair. I praise You for that much serenity and the solace it gives us to finally leave town again to resource ourselves.

AGENDA

👉🏻 Today we celebrate the Conversion of Saint Paul the Apostle.

The Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul the Apostle commemorates this event, and is celebrated in the liturgical year on 25 January. This feast is celebrated in the Roman Catholic, Anglican and Lutheran churches, and concludes the conclusion of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, an yearly international Christian ecumenical event that began in 1908, which is an octave or eight-day observance beginning 18 January (observed in Anglican and Lutheran tradition as the Confession of Peter, and in the pre-Vatican II Catholic calendar as the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter at Rome). In rural England, the day once functioned like groundhog day does in the modern United States. Supposed prophecies ranged from fine days predicting good harvests, to clouds and mists signifying pestilence and war in the coming months.
