Yeah most of our trade is with the US but there is alot of trade coming back from the US as well. Dont know the percentage but its pretty big.
If we currently had a leader they would of just fixed the problems like stop bringing migrants here and fix the drug problem.
I knew about all the migrants which I sure as hell never wanted but I had no idea they had fentenal factories in Brittish Columbia and Alberta.
However I think the US is forgetting 6.5 million barrels of oil that is sent to the US every day from Canada and Canada provides 25% of the US power.
The power is mostly to states like NY, Detroit, Minnesota. I would have said at one time Canada would not cut off millions of people in the middle of winter where they will freeze, but look what Trudeau did to his own people specifically the truckers.
So I am guessing yeah he will cut them off so I hope Trump has a plan for the oil and power. I am assuming Trump has already taken everything into consideration.
Trump has already said we will not be needing Canadian goods including their oil as he will start to drill and soon we will be self sufficient again in this area as we were (or almost were) under his first administration. There may be some pain for a short period in time but the market will adjust itself accordingly and soon companies will find it will be better for them to just move their productions to the US which is Trump’s main plan. He does not want foreign made goods nor our economy dependent on it. He wants us to be more independent in the future and he wants products in this country to be American-made wherever that is possible. This “trade war” will strongly encourage that goal. I agree with him and I will endure the pain as I see it being positive for the long run and for the plan to work. It’s not a bad strategy either as it will strengthen our own companies here in the US who has been put in unfair competitions with foreign companies. As an American and a patriot I would much rather buy something with a label reading “made in America” over “made in china”. I’m willing to bet majority of the people here in the US agrees. Is it great for Canada? No. But they have to learn the US will no longer put up with the abuse and being taken advantage off by other countries. If they can’t keep their shit out (fentanyl + illegals) then they deserve to be tariffed as this neglect is costing the US both the life of Americans and a shit ton of $$$$$$$$$$$. The world has been laughing at us for decades, calling us; “dumb Americans” meanwhile we have been protecting them with our military and giving them subsidies. I supposed in some ways they were right. Dumb we were to be taken advantage of like that only to get stabbed in the back from our so called “trusted and loyal allies”. Well they are about to find out we were never dumb at all - we were just asleep. But that sleeping giant has been awakened and we now say; NO MORE to the rest of the world. Other countries should take notice and look out for themselves in the same way. Make your own country great again should be the slogan of the world. Stop thinking America has to feed you all to survive and let nature takes its course.
