I believe any medicines, homeopathic or prescriptions they all have Side effects some more than others even Ivermectin and HCQ you take too much of a good thing.
Let’s face it DJT has only been in office two weeks. Has he had time to overhaul the FDA and for his replacements to thoroughly review something that was developed in another administration? Trust, but verify. DJT can’t be in all places at once. I am leery because we were told oxycodone/oxycontin was safe and effective, non-addictive. We were told birth control pills were safe and effective=sterility in many cases. The depoprovera shot, which I gave to many patients, is now shown to have an increased risk of brain tumors. So I am “cautiously optimistic.”
There is still time to show hidden traitors in his administration. He can’t root all evil persons and acts out in two weeks. I trust Trump, just not those left behind from other administrations, including scientists developing it and Big Pharma paying to bring it to market. Trust and loyalty, yes, blind trust, no.
Never smart to trust anyone blindly. U/hope4thefuture makes a good point. Trump has only been in office less than two weeks so I would not necessarily give him credit here until due and also it’s important to keep a critical mindset especially when it comes to pharmaceuticals. My husband has to take opioids every day due to chronic pain and I would be thrilled if there was a safer alternative. However as the article states these are less effective than opioids and only meant for short terms usage. Also at $15 per pill the cost is way too high for most. Opioids are around $1
Didn’t say anything about who you personally trust. I made a statement saying it’s never smart to trust anyone blindly after you made your comment. Not sure why you felt so offended by that. It was not a personal attack. What exactly makes you think im a liberal or was that just an attack because your ego got hurt? If it makes me a liberal to not blindly trust anyone’s including Trump especially when his own cabinet has not been yet been installed that’s your opinion. Developing a critical mindset is an asset I will not disregard. I am sure I will be much more open minded once RFK gets in there but no matter who is in charge or who is President I will not be letting my guard down or trust anyone above God.
Yes reading is important and goes both ways. I never said I was distrustful of the Trump administration - just that I choose to keep a critical mindset and not blindly trust anyone. I am very hopeful and exited for this new administration. I as you absolutely believe and feel we have entered the golden age. Does that mean we should stop thinking for ourselves though? Your comment;
“I guess someone doesn't trust the Trump Administration. 🤷♂️” made you sound like a liberal shill.
The FDA should be closed. Let the dummies be their own guinea pigs, again. The results are always the same in the end, people die. Except this newest version results are hidden & take longer, and people that shouldn't, get rich.
I would still be wary of this product until a lot more experience is gained with it. Most people don't know that Sigmund Freud and doctors of his generation thought that cocaine would be a marvelous drug to wean people off of morphine. They didn't realize that cocaine addiction was just as damaging as morphine addiction.
Speaking as a person in recovery myself (36 year clean and sober), I approach ANY new drug with caution and a virtual 10-foot pole to poke at it first. Thirteen years ago I went through cancer treatments, and they were painful, and I needed pain killers to get through. I told every doctor, nurse, and hospital janitor who would listen that I was a recovering addict and that I had greater fear of addiction than I did mere cancer. They got the message and worked with me to lessen the dosage as I came out of recovery over a month period. I am grateful to them for that wise understanding.
Right now, the strongest thing I take for pain is BC Aspirin Powder, 1000mg. So I am going to watch this closely to see what becomes of it. Many, many times over my lifetime I have seen "wonder drugs" pulled from the market for unforeseen side-effects.
I've seen people in my immediate circle who have recovered from meth and opiate addictions, so I know it's possible. My drugs of choice were alcohol and cocaine, and I'm free of them today, thanks to a Higher Power and my group of recovery friends and meetings I still go to.
What are the side effects, downside? I don’t trust Big Pharma.
Common side effects include nausea, constipation, itching, rash, and headaches, but unlike opioids, it does not carry a risk of addiction.
And cost $15.50 per pill
Kinda the same side effects.
The question is, has it been trialed enough to be deemed safe and effective?

True.

Something just sitting there on the shelf. Big pharma what a POS industry

Anything approved right now wouldn't be under anyone Trump appointed. I don't see why they should be saved after all the trouble they've caused.

If you were already addicted to opioids I don’t think you would have this opinion….

God bless you.
Send me some, I'll give you a non biased opinion. I've been in non-stop pain for 10 + yrs. It hasn't been fun.
