Canadian here. I know what you mean. At this writing I am 66 yrs old. During my life I have had a hole in my heart repaired, 2 valves replaced, pacemaker implanted, and a hernia surgery....any one of these would have broke myself, or my parents. Is our system perfect? Far from it. But I am alive today because of it, and not 1 bill along the way.
