I am all for shutting USAID down, along with all other illegitimate and criminal theft of our taxes. That said, just shutting them down isn't good enough. I want them to start turning over that stolen money back to those of us it was stolen from.
The only way I see that happening is if the government will refund you all the federal taxes you've paid into the system. If they even still have those records. Those folks who have never paid in should not get anything, but I see where millionaires will get a huge payday and when that happens the left will go nuts. The average Joe will probably get back somewhere between 4-6K/yr(that is a WAG)over their working career. So $4K for 40 years should yield around $160K. Now, mind you, YOU might be the one to have to prove up all the taxes you've paid into the system, so you'd had better have saved all your W-2s throughout you career.
First, we need to confiscate all the ill gotten gains of all the officials, both elected and appointed, who gained from this practice. All their property should be confiscated while they sit in an orange jumpsuit in a prison.

Not so, it isn't an all or nothing. However, nothing would just be par for the already well worn course for government.
There is no reason some of the stolen money can't come back to the place it was illegally taken from.
Otherwise, government is just going to use it somewhere else, and expect we keep paying the inflated amount of taxes.
I won't disagree with you, just wondering how the apportionment would happen. Everyone gets a chunk of change or proportional to what you've paid in?
That is something that rational people like us would need to decide and then make government do it. After all, it is our government.
