Im going to keep saying this. There was a time in the USA when a family can buy a house, have a car(s), an education & go on a vacation all on one salary. Sometime between then & today the USA went off track & today people that make six figures cant afford to rent an apt. Thank you for DOGE & Trump!!!!
Its still doable. I tote 5 of us in a bought home with 4 vehicles and atleast one vacation every year on under six figures. It's tight but we make it by not blindly consuming.
Edit: single income too cause my children are raised and educated by their mother.
Dont forget the health plans that cost a fortune for a family plan. Its doable but its soo tight there is no room if something major breaks. Looking at how much of our taxes went to everything in the world except red blooded Americans makes me see red but Im glad that party is now coming to an end. The future for our children, grandchildren etc looks much better than it did a year ago.
No doubt. Sickcare plan is something we definitely do without. We have a $24/mo unlimited subscription to a pediatric telehealth service for the kids for anything we can't handle with ivermectin, oregano oil and a few other homeopathic fixes.
Beyond that, it's bill negotiation and non-profit hospitals. A little documentation will get just about anything discharged from the right hospital.
Anything major breaking outside the body just means I have to fix it. It puts a quarter in my wife every time I tell her that I can fix anything from a broken heart to the hole in the O-zone layer. 😅
