That was my thought as well. A couple of years ago I could not understand or even find any information on what could cause a pole shift outside of CERN or aliens. 😉 Reading this theory opened up a somewhat more plausible understanding for me.
Apparently there is evidence of pole reversals happening in the past. A few times. None during ‘modern record keeping’ so there’s no idea what it could cause.
It’ll be crazy interesting if something does happen!
