Nowhere in Genesis 1 did God say all was perfect. He said things were good as they were created.
If God and God's creations did not make sin, who did? How did it spread only to us and not to any other part of creation? God made the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, meaning he knew of and created sin.
If we can overcome our ego, why did He sacrifice His son to save us and declare that only through Jesus are we to find salvation?
Gods creations did not make sin. They committed sin because they were given free will and chose to listen to Satan.
You overcome the ego by submitting to Christ and His Will instead of your own. God gave you the choice to choose him or not. But you were absolutely made perfect in his image. Your ego was not and being born in Gods image doesn’t make you God either - it makes you a child of God - one who is perfectly created but has the capability to make mistakes when following one’s own will and going against God and his plan for your life. God himself makes no mistakes.
Your argument, that you seem to be getting lost in, is what is supposing that God makes mistakes. You can not create something that is perfect and then go "Oh, it has imperfections it gave itself". That makes no sense.
I said God made us imperfect, because it was His design that we be imperfect. By overcoming our imperfections and growing closer to Him through Jesus is how you will become more perfect - but not until you are shed of your physical form.
God tells us we are to rule the physical world. Jesus reinforced this. Why do you say that it isn't true?
I’m not the one lost here... I don’t believe we are created to be imperfect. My understanding from scriptures is that God made us perfect in his image. Once we are born we are fallen with the rest because of sin. We must overcome that sin to restore us back to the blueprint of that perfect image. We are already made perfect in the womb - it is not something we can become. Being born is what makes us imperfect because we are born into a fallen world and adapt the original sin. We will have to remove that filth from our souls so can be restored back to God and his Will.
