1400 more VA jobs cut. Let me explain one such job. I needed a copy of my medical records from VA. Had to go in person. There were 2 people ahead of me in line. There were 3 employees who sole job was to print the copies. There was one workstation and one printer. They took turns servicing one person at a time. One guy would spen 30 minutes helping a customer. The printer had to spit out 100+ pages sometimes. The other 2 employees walked around with coffee cups and bullshitted. An hour and a half later I finished getting my copy. Itbwas frustrating as hell but I needed the records. It was infuriating to think those dweebs were wasting so much time doing nothing. Yet right across the hall was a single dude whose only job was to print ID cards for VA patients. While I waited he didnt service a single customer. Another employee sits at a desk and is the monitor for the waiting room for VA educational services. Spent all their time on their phone. I'm sure there is plenty of room to cut and they should.
