No I get it. As I said in my other post about going to church(a building) doesn’t make you a Christian. No I understand that completely. And some people have had terrible moments in a church setting. But gathering is in the Bible. Hebrews, Matthew, Acts. It’s very important. Even as you said, outside a church setting. Perfectly fine. Jesus WANTS us to be together. Not sitting by ourselves watching a video. It’s fine for a time, but find something to gather together with other Christians. People are distancing themselves from each other. This is not a good thing for the church. And I’m not talking about the building. The church is the body. The people. The bride of Christ. We need to be together. A Christ follower, imo, should always be finding a way to gather in worship with other Christians. To not do this is dangerous. This coming from a new Christian. I’ve learned how important this is. Is how we learn to forgive. To accept. How to live along with others and learn to step out of our comfort zones and spread the word. You won’t get that sitting behind a screen in your pj’s. How can Christians face the world, when we hide from it? Not saying you, but those who refuse to gather to worship God. Trust me, Satan wants us divided. Wants us alone. People will say I’m not alone, I have Jesus. And Jesus is saying GET WITH OTHER CHRISTIANS! Jesus knows and understands how we’ll be attacked. And only together can we stand strong. Together, can we accomplish our mission. Jesus never meant for us to be alone in this, He encourages unity. Doesn’t mean a building every Sunday. But find a place to gather. It’s important.
There is a great vibe when praying together that I miss when online. But then I couldn't even do yoga classes online. I found a class that stayed open because we were 6 feet apart, but not a church.
