Dad passed away during Covid from cancer. He was stable and then magically got Covid in a hospital that had strict protocols for vaccinated guests (so I hadn’t seen him since he was admitted). He died the next day after his Covid test, in isolation because of quarantine with some gay nurse by his side. Come to find out later that the only consolation was they gave my mom the money for his funeral. I’m sure she had to sign something to receive it but I’m still chasing that down too.
