My wife is Filipino. I've taken a few trips there, met many of her friends. Imo, duerte is their Trump to some degree. A threat to the deep state corruption and power structure. My wife and her friends are all conservative catholics and all love duerte and Trump. That's just my 2 cents
I am here right now, sadly the Filipino people are hooked on msm news here locally. (only free TV available) I was here when He got elected and have since seen govt. money being used to improve infrastructure, roads, flood control, no shape (meth) and far fewer brownout, Problem is the politicians are still allowed to buy votes with small cash. Libs are crazy here too! I would have loved to be the fly on the wall when DJT visited RD during his first term, meeting was closed door and RD ended up doing investment business with chyna. Trap? or distraction?

I saw the same thing with media. Even my wife still watches TV patrol on YouTube every day but hates most of what she sees. She was bitching about bongbong the other day and I was like that's the perfect example. His parents were the most corrupt Filipinos in recent history...how the frick do you elect his son???

Filipino gave him the chance to redeem their family's name, but alas, you can't change what's in the blood. He ran his election campaign based on the promise to continue what the old man has started, courted the daughter to be his running mate. His closest rival on the election was Zelenskyy-wannabe and would-be globalist and oligarch puppet, Filipinos thought they dodged a bullet, but those 2 are practically the same.

His successor literally courted her daughter to be his running-mate, promised continuity (neutral, create pro-common people policies, anti-establishment) but turned 180 degrees after winning. And now using the old man as a distraction for massive corruption issues and crimes happening right now.
ICC ? THINK Spratly islands and the maritime court who ruled they belong to PH. But, they don't enforce anything and Chyna is not slowing down at all
