There is no quick fix the putty takes hours to dry and it has to be put on right and smoothed out so it looks like part of the wall. Then you have to paint and even though the wall is white you have to have exactly the right color to blend in. There are a ton of white colors and they are all different.

Just tell your friend you had an accident and you will help repair it.
