Russians just had a breakthrough around Kursk. They don't want to give the Ukrainians time to dig new fortification and trenches. If the lines were static,30 days off wouldn't matter to much for each side..

It's like April of 1945 and the Russian just broke the line in front of Berlin. You don't stop for 30 days.....
