Putin's terms don't match the US's. We're setting the tone, not Russia. Zelensky is willing to part with Donetsk and Lugansk, otherwise the US wouldn't be involved at all. Trump isn't dumb, and he's sticking his neck out for a deal Ukraine agreed to.
