The behavior health industry is a HUGE part of what's wrong with this world. All of the "born this way" and multiple gender crap, making everybody out to be a victim, throwing psychoactive drugs at every so-called "disorder". I've seen a lot of kids/adults diagnosed with autism or ADHD that simply didn't have their asses whooped when they needed it. Granted many have real issues, but "mental health professionals" seem to get it wrong more than right. I don't recognize it as a legitimate science, based entirely on theory and manipulated statistics. About as useful as politicians.
My experience with mental health "professionals" is the bulk of them have serious mental issues themselves, and the remainder are well-meaning but brainwashed by the modern equivalent of pop-psychology.
It's figuratively the insane running the asylum.
Growing up and during college I found that the most emotional unstable people always wanted to get into psychiatry. I assume it's probably even more noticeable today.
