Can you provide more details how Andrew Jackson "backstabbed Indians"?
So far I know he's responsible for the Indian Removal Act and the Trail of Tears and lots of these treaties were known to be forced upon the people or not deliver what was promised. Maybe I'm conflating various presidencies and the general treatment towards Indians onto Andrew Jackson but an expert in history, I am not and could probably be corrected if wrong.
Agreed. This meme fuels MAGA is racist. That was the reason I couldn't up vote.
I thought those same Indians kept vikings at bay from the tales I have heard. The (assuming God did it) reason they lost to the new settlers was due to mass death from disease IIRC. These were a people well trained in fierceness and war.
The story of Crazy Horse is both beautiful and tragic. A most valiant human being although constantly at odds with the colonizers. And his own people. But to think what was done to the native Americans as a proud moment in our history is shameful.
I hate it when mainstream media portrays conservatives as white supremacists but damnit if some maga folk don't go and bat for them.
