Good for you,I didn't want to be a logger or work at McDonald's. We still have a small farm in the western UP,my mother lives their in the summer and I visit every year. Most likely I will move back when I retire.
Beautiful country,we drove all the way up to Copper Harbor last year,it had been many years since I last visited. My brother went to school their and my dad had a small boat he kept at the marina in Hancock,so I went all around it several times.
