I think healthcare could be "free" or socialized here in the US, very much like we do with military, police, and fire department services. I think the main problem is price gouging. Secondly, I think that there are cures coming out that are "cure-alls" for all infectious and degenerative disease. Once those get widely used. There wont be a lot of need for services except for ER type incidents such as injuries. But, most of the inefficiency is in the administrative side and insurance laberynth. Remove all that and streamline it and make it extremely efficient and I wouldn't be surprised if we could cut the costs by 75-90%, in my stupid opinion.
Great idea. BUT, Pharma and the 'medical establishment' will have to be Destroyed before common sense can be used.

There's No Part of the Military that gets any ""FREE SHIT"" at all, you are 100% wrong about that....
The Entire Military is under CONTRACT to Give Service for XXX Amount of time, with a REDUCED Recompense of XXXX Dollars per Month Per Rank, an IF you get DAMAGED, then After leaving, what you didn't get as ""PAY"", goes to Veterans Healthcare, and Compensation....
So DON'T LIE, stop saying that Military gets ""FREE SHIT"", we don't, we have to Earn everything, an sometimes, even our Families have to be put on Welfare Programs so we can make ends meet....
You misread or misinterpreted what I said (so calm down). I was saying that we the people get defended by paying through a socialized taxation structure.
