Well defunct-ness could be explained by the fact that 9kg bottles tend to crap out at about half-full (because of lack of pressure) , so you keep having to refill them to run that barbie. Some gas-stations do not refill anymore, they only do swappa-bottle, so one tends to lose money that way too.
Yeah, I used to get them refilled until the place by me closed, then I had to do the Blue Rhino swappa-bottle. Still have a couple out back from when the grill died.
No the swappabottles are a ripoff. Because there will always be some left in the tank. Can you get the 45 kg bottles? Companies do delivery services for that sort of thing - one needs a truck to move them.
I suppose it will all come back bright and shiny, soon. My son recently installed a super-duper smart grill that smokes and slow-cooks and everything. Gotta have a look at the developments there, my fren - the new grills are waaaay better than the old ones. Meats are out of this world, tender and juicy and just the right amount of red.

Make outdoor entertainment great again.
I remember they used to have to bleed them before they could refill them.
New bottles are moot as the grill is dead. Someday I'll have to roll it onto the tree lawn!
Thanks for the tip on the new grills, I'll have to look into them.
LOL at the tree lawn. We just invested in hedge clippers and a pole saw, to tackle them growing into the verge and what-not.
