I agree. They tried to sweep it under the rug by saying he had performance issues. No, he committed a crime and covering up a crime makes them all complicit.
Counterpoint: no one knew, he actually had performance issue, and they only found out after the fact.
The board trying to flee to prevent questions suggests otherwise, but, its still a common-sense option.
