Why don't people know what words mean? 'Conspiracy' means more than one person being involved in a thing. 'Theory' means a substantiated hypothesis. 'Conspiracy theory' does not mean "something that is widely believed, but is incorrect." That is what the term 'myth' is for. People often confuse 'myth' with 'conspiracy theory.'
We should all be proud to be conspiracy theorists and embrace the term.
It is amazing people cannot understand this concept.
Police detectives deal in conspiracy theories every day, if they think more than one person was involved in a crime.
It does not mean they are engaged in false beliefs.
It just means they are pursuing a "theory" (an idea that might explain something) about a possible "conspiracy" (two or more people may have been involved in doing something illegal or immoral).
