I am not fully understanding this. Wouldn't it be better to have the agents around these people and know exactly where they are when the arrests happen? Unless Trump knows something big is gonna happen soon and Secret Service is spread to thin atm with all these security details. But then I remember the Q post, they won't be able to walk the streets. They would if they had security.

I think you're confusing security CLEARANCE with Secret Service PROTECTION. The security clearance is their access to intelligence (classified, secret, top secret, etc).

Revoking security clearance means they are no longer privy to receiving sensitive/ classified briefings regarding national security. Not that they will lose their secret service protection.
