You're not getting the scope of what we're capable of acheiving with technological solutions
Let's say, hypothetically, you could press a button; and the effect would be that it would never occur to a single human ever again to sexually abuse a child. Would you press that button?
I absolutely would, no questions asked. It's not even worth debate. There are no remotely convincing argumetns against it.
Are you seriously saying "no I wouldn't, because then no-one would appreciate how evil child abuse is? Also, it's a bit unethical not to let people have their freedom but meaning literal child molesters?"
I'm sure you don't really mean that. And, yes, that potentially is the kind of tech we're talking about.
Humanity used to be completely pure and perfect, in Eden. Even more perfect than any brain-chip could ever make us. That didn't prevent our fall from grace and corruption, because incredible evil exists outside of humanity too.
You imagine humans to be the sole source of the evils plaguing us, to the point where you think that all it would take to eradicate evil is to simply use human technology to "not think" about evil. But retreating into blissful ignorance has never been and will never be an effective countermeasure, it simply presents a vulnerability to implant even greater evil and suffering.
But, consider this- we can edit those evil thoughts out of humanity too; and enforce faith among them. Satan will no longer have power over us because human nature will have fundamentally changed forever.
There will be no temptation for those incapable of feeling temptation
There are good reasons for all this or Must would not be doing it.
Sorry, a brain chip isn't going to fundamentally change human nature. Reliance on a device actually indicates a lack of change of fundamental nature. It's just another technological crutch, and Satan already knows how to exploit those quite well.
And Musk isn't God, he's just a human. Despite his best efforts he can still be very wrong.

It may not be enough alone, but I have faith
