Guess what happens if some of these predators (who we may not be able to find) get scared?
Also, the FBI can't just go arresting people if they don't have the warrants yet. There are probably agents watching those that we have verified locations for, and are under suspicion. Those people, and other known traffickers that the FBI can't locate, would probably have their passports flagged so they can be grabbed if they try to flee.
It seems like an easy way to circumvent the need for a judge to approve an immediate warrant and raid. If someone is under active investigation, but the FBI doesn't yet have enough probable cause to get a judge to issue a warrant, they would have to get more evidence or wait for the suspect to make a mistake. If the said subject buys a same-day international plane ticket, that would allow CBP to stop them and turn them over to the FBI. Especially if CBP found some sort of evidence in their baggage. That would also very likely expedite the warrant to raid their house.
they've had the time. not hard to get a warrant where there is evidence a crimes been committed. FBI can make headlines and flag mfkrs and make more cases from collected mfkrs on other mfkrs. Look how they do fentanyl or crack, when they want. And those werent children exclusively as the victims, even. Easy sell once the ball is rolling is my bet.
