Russian people very devoted Christians. You know of the Russian Army Cathedral outside Moscow ? The steel floor is from German tanks they melted down after war.

It's actually an Orthodox cross. Very different from a plain cross. And its rarely a crucifix in Orthodoxy.

Since there is a video I'll assume it was staged for that very effect.
In that ase it is symbolic, just as the flag on Iwo Jima was. But it is not claiming for a nation, but claiming for Christ. I like it.
