It has been explained if we had only electric cars our country does not possess enough energy underground to charge all electric cars. There will never be enough energy in the US to have chargers plentiful for an all EV car policy
A nuclear infrastructure may be a way to do this, but they don't like that, so it doesn't matter.
I find this hard to believe.
Who can even afford an EV? Ah, that's the point, you see. It's just the first step towards 15-min cities. California has already cleared themselves some nice space to start building theirs.
