Help of foreigners out - How can a federal judge investigate the Signal Chat matter and make orders accordingly? No crime has been committed from what I read, the DOJ has not referred it to court so wtf is going on?

I just have no concept of how a judge can get involved when no charges have been laid???

I heard someone is suing to get the records preserved, though it seems Goldberg/Atlantic has done that for us.

Heard a snippet from Robert Gouveia today, but can't find it for sauce.
