Easy? Ha! In Pennsylvania, all you have to do is say you have no money and you automatically get $292 a month. We HAVE to take your word that you have no income if it is unverifiable, meaning your employer doesn't report to Equifax or some other company. If you're paid under the table, you're golden. The same goes if you are "self-employed" and don't make any money from your "business." If you are a Hispanic woman with a bunch of kids and say that the baby daddy doesn't live with you, you get food stamps. If you say he only pays you $100 a month, but he is a good dad because he takes the kids on the weekend, you get food stamps. If you claim that your rent is $1200 a month and you have no job, but your family (who are also on food stamps) and friends help you pay it, you get food stamps.
However, if you are a senior citizen on Social Security, which is something we can verify, you will be lucky to get $23 a month. Ask me how I know.
